Roar 2014 Chardonnay "Soberanos" Santa Lucia Highlands

Roar 2014 Chardonnay Soberanos Santa Lucia Highlands

Winemaker 2014 Soberanos Tasting Notes: "Patience is rewarded with our 2014 Soberanes Chardonnay. Shy, restrained fruit notes and a viscous minerality mingle on the nose and palate, blossoming over time with tropical fruit and floral aromatics. On the palate cream pineapple and lychee mix with melon and are lifted by lemon zest, straw, and crisp shale giving way to lovely perfumed jasmine on the finish."

Robert Parker 2013 Review 95 Points: "Surprisingly, the 2013 Chardonnay Soberanes Vineyard is more steely and focused than the Rosella's (it's normally the other way around). Similarly colored, it offers up lots of citrus, melon, toasted nuts, and white flower-like aromas and flavors, as well as full-bodied richness, zesty acidity and a clean, blockbuster finish. This is another sensational Chardonnay from this estate that can be drunk anytime over the coming 5-6 years."
