The Story:  After decades of cultivating the Napa Valley’s most celebrated industry, the Belli and Cybulski families created Agnitio Wines to pay tribute to the land and honor their devoted farming team.  With the help of a great winemaker they have been crafting some amazing wines, including the Agnito Sauvigon Blanc.

Tasting Notes: Aromas of bright citrus, grapefruit, orange peel and kiwi are expressed on the nose, while hints of anise and limestone suggest an elegant minerality. The palate is driven by its extraordinary acidity, giving this wine a refined crispness and long lasting finish.  This is  a “Sancerre style” Napa Valey Sauvignon Blanc! ONLY 200 cases produced

Dan Berger: “The wine was utterly pristine. It was a Sauvignon Blanc like almost no other. And you can get it. It is a classic example of a Concept Wine that has to be tasted to be believed. This wine is styled a bit like Dagueneau’s Pur Sang. The  Pur Sang sells for $90+; The Agnitio is only $33 and worth it. Pressed very gently, aged in mostly used oak on lees, the wine has high acid, a great modest pH and only 13% alcohol. Sauvignon Blanc purists and fans of great Pouilly-Fumé will adore this wine. It is listed on the French Laundry’s wine list.”

Wine Spectator: "Bright and refreshing, with a succulent lemon curd core accented by lemon verbena, melon and white peach flavors that have a tangy appeal, this has medium body and a long finish, where a peppery white-flower note kicks in."
